Arsenal have suffered a huge injury scare after their 2-2 draw against Manchester City, with goalkeeper David Raya spotted leaving Etihad Stadium limping and with a bandage on his leg.

The Spaniard was impressive against the Premier League table leaders, making several saves to deny the hosts from equalising until John Stones drew Man City level in the 98th-minute.

Arsenal will be disappointed to have left with just a point having come very close to securing their first victory at Etihad Stadium since 2015, but things could have got worse had Raya not made some incredible stops.

The Gunners are back in action on Wednesday when they host Bolton Wanderers in the third round of Carabao Cup before hosting Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday, and manager Mikel Arteta could now have a selection headache to deal with.

Summer signing and third-choice goalieTommy Setford has not been included in the last three matchday squads, and Neto is cup-tied having already played for Bournemouth in the competition this season.

Arsenal may be forced to play Raya for the midweek game or choose one of their youth goalkeepers, and Arteta will hope the Spaniard has not sustained any serious injury.

They are already without Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney due to injuries, while Ben White was left out of the starting XI due to a knock before he was brought on for the second-half.

Losing Raya to a knock is the last thing Arsenal need right now and further tests will be carried out on him in the new week to determine the severity of his injury.
