Arsenal are set to search for further attacking reinforcements before the transfer window shuts after Kai Havertz suffered a recent knee injury, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.
The 26-year-old Germany international is undergoing assessments, with the extent of the damage and the length of his absence yet to be determined.
Havertz's injury leaves Mikel Arteta's side short of centre forward options with the season now underway, as Gabriel Jesus also remains sidelined with a long-term knee injury.
The Gunners signed Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting this summer and the Sweden international is now the club's only recognised senior striker.
Havertz had only recently returned from a significant hamstring injury sustained earlier this year, which initially required surgery and was expected to rule him out long-term. His accelerated recovery offered a major boost, but the latest problem raises fresh uncertainty.
