Arsenal eye double Aston Villa swoop: Ezri Konsa and Morgan Rogers targeted as Arteta seeks signings | OneFootball

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, alongside teammate Morgan Rogers.

Rogers is a top target for Arsenal this summer, though Aston Villa aredemanding a British record fee for the England international. The Gunners remain keen to add the 23-year-old to their ranks, though are also considering an approach for Konsa.

According toThe Telegraph, Konsa is of interest to the Premier League champions. The 28-year-old, who has started all four games for England at this summer's World Cup in North America, has only two years to run on his deal at Villa Park.

Arsenal are monitoring his situation as Mikel Arteta looks to add defensive depth, amid uncertainty over Ben White's future at the Emirates.

Konsa was born in London and came through the academy at Charlton Athletic. He later spent a single season at Brentford before moving to Aston Villa in 2019.

Aston Villa value Konsa at £60million, a fee Arsenal are not prepared to meet at this stage. Villa do not want to sell Konsa, though the centre-back's sale for a significant fee could reduce the financial pressure to sell Rogers.

The latter scored 14 goals in all competitions last season and Villa are desperate to retain the midfielder, ahead of their return to the Champions League in 2026/27.

Unai Emery's side are using Elliot Anderson's £116million move to Manchester City as a benchmark for their valuation.

Rogers is currently with Konsa and England at the World Cup, where he has made three substitute appearances to date.
