Arsenal eyeing deal for Sevilla star | OneFootball

A member of the midfield ranks at La Liga outfit Sevilla has made his way onto the transfer radar of Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who point towards Lucien Agoumé as the player in question.

Midfielder Agoumé is for his part fresh off a solid campaign on the books of the aforementioned Sevilla.

Establishing himself as a regular in the engine room ranks of the Nervionenses, the 23-year-old racked up 35 La Liga appearances, chipping in with a goal and three assists along the way.

As much has since been followed by an impressive showing at the U21 European Championships with France, as Agoumé continues to build on his reputation as a potential star in the making.

And as alluded to above, amid this rise on the part of the former Inter Milan talent, one club whose attentions have been piqued are Arsenal.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park:

‘Agoumé could leave Sevilla because he had a good U-21 European Championship and several teams are after him, including Arsenal.’
