In a recent report, Grada 3 claimed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Real Madrid playmaker Arda Guler. It has been stated that the Gunners would have to rival Newcastle United, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to land the Turkish talent next year.
Guler has made a good start to this campaign as he has put in a handful of impressive displays for Los Blancos on the offensive end of the field. The Turkish attacker has participated in ten matches for Real Madrid this season, scoring three goals and grabbing four assists in all competitions.
The 20-year-old has proven himself to be a consistent performer in the final third by averaging 2.25 shots per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has kept 42.9% of his attempts on target. Guler has also been accurate when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 88% in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Madrid club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for the Gunners to sign him on a cut-price deal next year.

Guler excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to create some inviting chances in and around the opponent’s penalty box and is a good dribbler with the ball as well.
The Turkish sensation has chipped in by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. He is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also operate as a box-to-box midfielder or as a right-sided wide player if told to do so.
Guler would no doubt enhance the quality of Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s attack. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the North London club.
At 20, Guler has the potential to be a generational talent, so it makes sense for the Gunners to move in for him this January or next summer. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League.
