Arsenal attacker Noni Madueke was withdrawn in the first half of the England friendly against Uruguay tonight.
Manager Mikel Arteta will be worried after seeing the summer signing leave the pitch, and he will be praying for some good news.
Madueke left Wembley Stadium with a significant strapping on his left wrist after playing the Carabao Cup final with a cast last weekend.
Madueke picked up the knock during an accidental collision in training and it is unknown if he has suffered a complication tonight.
England play Japan next Tuesday, and the Arsenal star is unlikely to be risked even if he has escaped a serious injury.
Eberechi Eze, Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba and Leandro Trossard already pulled out of international duty due to knocks, and Arteta will hope they are available when club football resumes.
The Gunners boss also needs his players on international duty to return unscathed, as he could do with a fit squad for the Premier League title run-in.
Arsenal visit Southampton on April 4 for the quarter-final of the FA Cup, before travelling to Portugal to take on Sporting CP in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie three days later.
They will be desperate to emerge victorious in both season-defining games and will need their best players available.
The defeat to Manchester City last Sunday ended their chances of winning the quadruple, but they will fancy their chances of ending the season with the Premier League title, FA Cup and Champions League.
