The Denmark national team have confirmed their last of call-ups for the November internationals, and Arsenal goalkeeper Lucas Nygaard is set to be involved with the u19 team this time around.
Nygaard joined Arsenal over the summer, though he didn’t get off to the ideal start, breaking his thumb before playing a competitive fixture.
The goalkeeper has since returned to fitness and played a number of games between the UEFA Youth League, the EFL Trophy, and the Premier League 2.

That return to the pitch has seen the Danish national team take notice, and he’ll now hope to make his debut at u19 level over the November break.
Nygaard has previously represented Denmark in the u16s, u17s, and u18s. The national team took on a particular importance for him last season, when he was a free agent holding trials with Arsenal and PSG, among others.
With no regular club football for Nygaard in early 2024, his only involvement in matchday squads was with the Denmark u18 side in March. The fact they kept calling him up despite that lack of football says a lot about their belief in his abilities.
Nygaard will now try to repay that faith on the pitch, with the Denmark u19s facing Northern Ireland on November 13th, Albania on November 16th, and Israel on November 19th to complete the break.
The three matches are part of the qualification round for the UEFA Euro u19 Championships.
