Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Matheus Cunha remains open to a move away from the club this month, a report has claimed.

Cunha has significant interest in his services after racking up ten goals and four assists this season, with both Arsenal and Manchester United thought to be interested in a big-money move for the Brazil international.

A verbal agreement has been reached over a new contract for Cunha at Wolves, but he is now thought to be hesitating on putting pen to paper and Fabrizio Romano has revealed the situation is very much "open".

Things have been complicated further by some harsh words from Wolves manager Vitor Pereira, who was unimpressed with Cunha's performance in the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea on Monday.

"He's a captain. He can be frustrated as he wants to win but everyone in the dressing room wants to win. I don't like his body language," Pereira said. "I understand it now, I won't understand it next time."

Pereira did, however, stress he does not believe Cunha's head has been turned by the interest in his services.

"He is committed to Wolves," Pereira insisted. "But in your life when you start to listen that other clubs [are interested]... he's human and it's normal in football."

The Daily Mail state Nottingham Forest have identified Cunha as their top transfer target for the remainder of the winter window, with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also thought to have expressed an interest.
