Teenager Max Dowman is part of the Arsenal squad that have travelled to Spain for a pre-tour training camp.
The Gunners landed in La Manga on Thursday and are due to work out there for five days as they gear up for their tour to Asia next week.
Arsenal are flying out to Singapore on July 19, where they will face AC Milan and Newcastle in friendlies.
They are also due to visit Hong Kong for a clash with their north London rivals, Tottenham.
Arsenal have taken their first-team squad out to La Manga, with new signings Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi among the group.
Dowman, who is only 15, is also part of the squad that has headed out to Spain for the training camp.
The midfielder scored 19 goals and chipped in five with assists during 23 games in all competitions for Arsenal’s youth teams last season.
Dowman was in fine form for Arsenal’s Under-18s towards the end of the last season, scoring 14 goals and providing three assists in his final seven games for them.
The 15-year-old was part of England’s Under-17 side at the European Championships this summer, and Arteta hinted before that he expected Dowman to be around Arsenal’s first team squad during pre-season.
“I think Max, probably, will be in and around the pre-season,” said Arteta in May.
“Obviously he’s got a very busy schedule as well in the summer, because he is in a tournament at the moment and he’s going to need some rest.
“And we will pick another few from the academy as well to be in and around the team and hopefully get a nice, beautiful surprise again.”
