The Gunners are interested in bringing EFL star to north London
The Gunners have held an interest in Monga for a number of months and talks have taken place between the relevant parties, Standard Sport understands.
Monga, who is only 16 years of age, has already made seven appearances in the Premier League for Leicester and represented them 27 times in the Championship last term.
Arsenal have tracked his progress for a prolonged period and are now working on a deal.
Monga has been a regular England youth international since Under-15 level.

He is due to become a professional at Leicester when he turns 17 on July 10. That will allow the Foxes to receive money for his sale.
When he made his Premier League debut as a 15-year-old in a 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium during the 2024-25 season, he became the second-youngest player, at the time, to play in the English top flight, behind only Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri.
Ruud van Nistelrooy was the two-footed winger’s manager at the time and said: “You could see glimpses of his great qualities.
“He's a great winger and has speed. He's a fantastic talent, a great boy. He deserved these minutes and hopefully, more to come.”
When he scored his first goal for Leicester in a 2-1 defeat away to Preston North End in August, he became the youngest goalscorer in Championship history at 16 years and 37 days old.
Monga was part of the Foxes side that suffered back-to-back relegations this season, with Leicester sliding into League One back in April after a 2-2 draw with Hull City.
