Gunners have three games to go as Premier League title race goes to wire

Viktor Gyokeres scored twice and provided an assist for Bukayo Saka as all three of the hosts’ goals came in a superb first-half performance.

The second period was far less eventful as the Gunners cruised to victory, knowing the job was done and the pressure had been piled on Manchester City.

Matt Verri was at the Emirates Stadium to rate the Arsenal players...

David Raya 7

Forced into a sharp stop to keep out Timothy Castagne’s shot after the break. Distribution was really good and exploited Gyokeres having the better of the physical match-up with Andersen. Yet another clean sheet.

Ben White 5

The Arsenal player who looked slightly short of confidence. A few sloppy moments on the ball and hurried clearances, particularly in the first-half. Improved after the break but looks well off his best.

William Saliba 7

A bit too casual at times in possession but worth that to see him shimmy out of trouble and stride away. Clipped in one brilliant cross that Gabriel nearly turned in.

Gabriel 8

Back to causing chaos from set-pieces, with Bernd Leno spilling the ball under pressure from him. Passing was full of intent - kept looking to get Arsenal away in behind. Bullied Raul Jimenez when the crosses did come in.

Riccardo Calafiori 8

So unlucky not to score. Headed in well but ruled out for offside by VAR, and then nodded an effort against the bar in the second-half. Played his part in rampant attacking display.

Declan Rice 7

Still led the way for interceptions and recoveries for Arsenal when he came off but was not required to be quite so all-action with his side in control. Precious 30 minutes rest too ahead of Atletico Madrid.

Justified Mikel Arteta’s faith with huge performance. Won six of his seven first-half duels and showed real composure. Impressive energy to play the full 90 minutes after little football.

Bukayo Saka 8

Absolutely electric. Sensational assist when sitting down Jimenez and crossing for Gyokeres, before firing in a superb finish himself. Only played 45 minutes but created four chances. Would have been a higher rating had he stayed on longer.

Eberechi Eze 7

Clever ball in behind started move for Saka’s goal and he frustrated Fulham throughout - Sasa Lukic was booked for just booting him. Great block denied him a goal from Saka’s cut-back.

Leandro Trossard 8

So much sharper than he has been for pretty much all of 2026. Denied an assist for Calafiori by VAR but eventually got one when he stood up a great cross for Gyokeres. Tracked back tirelessly too.

Viktor Gyokeres 9

Completely transformed. Held the ball up superbly, leading to his assist for Saka. In the right place for his first and second was a really confident header. Big chance to seal hat-trick was saved but still a top-drawer display.

Substitutes:

Noni Madueke (Saka 46’) 6

Not quite the same conviction as Saka has in the final third. Got into good positions and ran at Antonee Robinson well but final ball was lacking.

Martin Zubimendi (Rice 64’) 7

A rare rest as he started on the bench. Looked better for it, snapping into a couple of challenges soon after comign on.

Gabriel Jesus (Gyokeres 64’) 4

Far too often found himself offside to bring a halt to Arsenal attacks. Otherwise not involved at all.

Max Dowman (Eze 77’) 7

Absolutely fearless. Came on and immediately ran from halfway into the Fulham box, firing just wide.

Cristhian Mosquera (White 83’) 6

Got a crucial foot in to stop the visitors grabbing a consolation in stoppage time.
