According to an update from Fichajes, it has come to light that Arsenal are working to offload their Belgian winger Leandro Trossard, with Borussia Dortmund emerging as a strong contender to sign the 29-year-old.
This potential departure would help the Gunners create space both tactically and financially for a strong move to sign Real Madrid superstar forward Rodrygo.
It has been learned that Borussia Dortmund are keen on adding Trossard to their squad for the 2025/26 season, as the Bundesliga club appreciates his experience, versatility, and attacking output.
The Belgian international, who scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions last season, remains a valued player in Europe.
With a contract at Arsenal running until 2026, Trossard is not out of favour but his situation could change quickly if a deal with Dortmund progresses.
Arsenal are believed to be open to letting him leave, and a fee of around €15 million is being discussed.

That figure fits comfortably within Dortmund’s transfer strategy of acquiring proven players at reasonable prices, especially as they look to compete at the top of the Bundesliga and make a deeper push in Europe.
Trossard’s possible exit ties directly into Arsenal’s broader ambition, landing Rodrygo from Real Madrid.
The Brazilian forward is seen as a game-changing addition to Mikel Arteta’s attack. However, any pursuit of Rodrygo would demand significant funds and a reworking of the club’s wage structure.
By selling Trossard, Arsenal could take a step toward balancing their books and clearing an offensive slot in the squad.
It is to be noted that Real Madrid have confirmed their willingness to sell Rodrygo, Arsenal’s interest is serious.
The Gunners are positioning themselves to act if a window opens but as reported before, the fee of this move could go over €100 million.
