Greek forward arrives at the Emirates Stadium from Club Brugge on a five-year contract
Christos Tzolis' shirt number has been confirmed after his move to Arsenal was completed.
The 24-year-old has signed a five-year contract, joining the Premier League champions for a £34million fee from Club Brugge.
Tzolis is similarly two-footed and will offer versatility, even if he is expected to primarily be used off the left wing.
The Greek winger scored 22 goals and provided 29 assists in all competitions in Belgium last season.
Tzolis has already been in pre-season training with Brugge and will now continue that with the Gunners.
He is set to be in the squad that travels to Spain next week and could make his debut against Girona on August 1.
The No17 shirt has been given to Tzolis, who was Brugge's No8.
That Arsenal squad number has been vacant since Oleksandr Zinchenko left the club to join Ajax earlier this year.

Cedric Soares and Alex Iwobi also previously wore the No17, but Tzolis will be hoping to follow more in the footsteps of Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean had that number in his first two seasons at Arsenal, scoring 42 goals across those campaigns.
Alex Song, Edu and Emmanuel Petit are among the players to have had ownership of the No17 shirt for Arsenal before that.
Arsenal's sporting director Andrea Berta said: “Christos is an extremely versatile attacking player who naturally operates on the left but is comfortable across the front line.
"He’s an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces, and possesses incredible technical ability.
“Christos has produced outstanding numbers in terms of goals and assists over the last three seasons, and he’s a player who will raise the technical level of our squad, while bringing positive energy, enthusiasm, and a strong mentality to our team."
