The Gunners are now 12 points behind Liverpool after a run of just two points from three matches prior to their 1-0 win over Chelsea. That said, there are still nine games to play, so Mikel Arteta will be keen to see his side keep going and pounce on any Liverpool mistakes with a trip to Anfield still to come.

Arsenal team news vs Fulham

Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu are out for the season, while Kai Havertz is also unlikely to feature again this campaign.

Riccardo Calafiori is nearing a return but this game is likely to come too soon for him as well. However, the big news is that Bukayo Saka is nearing a return to fitness at long last. Unfortunately for Arsenal, they only anticipate Saka being fully ready to feature against Real Madrid in the Champions League, but he could see minutes from the bench here and against Everton on Saturday to prepare him for that quarter-final showdown.

Myles Lewis-Skelly to return from stunning international break

Myles Lewis-Skelly’s star just continues to rise.

Despite all the experience of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kieran Tierney at left-back, it’s the 18-year-old who now holds the spot for Arsenal and, a red card against West Ham aside, he’s there on merit.

The teenager carried his club form into his first foray into senior international football, too. Lewis-Skelly needed just 20 minutes to find the net on his England debut against Albania, becoming the youngest-ever Three Lions player to score on his debut, while only Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen have scored at a younger age overall.

Lewis-Skelly followed that up with a 79-minute outing against Latvia that saw him complete 77 of his 78 passes, create one chance and play 12 passes into the final third, while also making five recoveries, one clearance and one interception.

From Alex Iwobi to the turbo-charged Adama Traore, Lewis-Skelly is sure to face a tough test against Fulham, but the youngster has already proven well up to the task.
