Juventus have flatly rejected an approach from Arsenal for Kenan Yildiz, informing the Premier League champions in no uncertain terms that the 21-year-old Turkish international is not available at any price this summer.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal made contact with Juventus as part of their search for a new left winger, with Yildiz identified as a potential solution following uncertainty over the futures of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

The response from Turin was immediate and unambiguous, Yildiz is not for sale, and Arsenal have consequently shifted their attention to other targets.

Yildiz set for World Cup showcase as Juventus protect prized asset despite transfer pressure

The approach is a clear indication of just how highly the player is regarded across European football following a breakthrough season in which he established himself as one of the continent’s most exciting young forwards.

Juventus moved to protect their investment by securing him on a new contract earlier this year, and despite the financial pressures of missing out on Champions League football, the club have drawn a firm line over their most prized asset.

Yildiz will now head to the World Cup with Turkey, where a strong tournament could intensify interest further, but Juventus’s position appears unlikely to soften regardless of what the summer brings.
