Arsenal are one of the clubs interested in recruiting the services of Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi in the summer, according to talkSPORT.

The 19-year-old has captured the attention of Gunners boss Mikel Arteta who could now look to bring him to the Emirates Stadium club.

Kroupi scored home and away against Arsenal and Manchester United, with 11 league goals to his name in 29 appearances this term.

The North Londoners are not the only club keen on the Frenchman, with Manchester City and the Red Devils also keeping tabs on his situation.

Kroupi does not have a release clause in his Cherries contract after arriving in a £10 million deal last year.

However, Bournemouth could demand top dollar from suitors to sell their teenage striking sensation and whether Arsenal is ready for a bidding battle remains to be seen.

The Gunners have Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez as their top target in the position, but it could cost £86m (€100m) to tempt the La Liga club into doing business with them.

Kroupi will not cost up to that and the opportunity to play Champions League football and challenge for the Premier League could appeal to him.

Arsenal are expected to sell one of Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres in the summer to make room for another striker.

Kroupi has proven himself after just one season in the Premier League, but he is far from a one-season wonder as he notched 22 goals in 30 Ligue 2 games last term.

He could be perfect for the Gunners’ attack given his ability on the ball, but pipping competition to his services could require a lot should Bournemouth decide to sell.

The Frenchman is a brilliant header and finisher, and he also holds on to the ball well and plays through balls every now and then – some of the skills Arteta wants in his number 9.
