Arsenal are keen on bringing Leroy Sane to the Emirates Stadium, according to a report.
TuttoJuve has reported that Arsenal view the Bayern Munich winger as “an unbeatable market opportunity to strengthen” their squad “without having to pay a large transfer fee”.
Sane is out of contract at German giants Bayern at the end of the season, and Premier League club Arsenal, who are mulling over expanding the Emirates Stadium, want to sign the former Manchester City winger on a free transfer this summer.
While the 29-year-old winger would like to stay at Bayern, talks between the two parties over a new contract are not progressing well.
Juventus are also reported to be interested in the £280,000-a-week (Salary Sport) Germany international winger, but his salary demands would be too high for the Serie A club.
At the age of 29, Sane is at the top of his game. The winger was also a huge success during his time at Man City and knows the Premier League inside out.
It is a no-brainer for Arsenal to sign Sane in the summer transfer window, especially on a free.
The winger would be able to make an immediate impact at the Emirates Stadium and would also make Mikel Arteta’s team better.
Sane would be a good option for Arsenal boss Arteta to have in the squad.
Moreover, the former Schalke star’s extensive experience in Europe would enable Arsenal to become regulars in the UEFA Champions League knockout stages.
Sane has played both as a left-winger and as a right-winger this season.
The Bayern star has scored eight goals and made four assists in 34 matches for the German giants this campaign.
In 42 matches in all competitions in the 2023-24 season, Sane scored 10 goals and made 12 assists.
