Arteta restarts his touchline antics in style at Inter v Arsenal (plus video)

Arteta just had to remind us how animated he is as a coach.

There have been some interesting observations made by a few gooners in recent days and weeks. It’s hardly any surprise given the nature of our fan base towards the progress of our club, which is why it came as no surprise that we had some gooners questioning why Arteta has cut a more relaxed figure than in previous seasons.

Some have even gone as far as blaming his more relaxed state on the touchline this season for our ongoing poor run of form. As ridiculous as that may seem, there might be some element of truth to it which is obviously a small fish in a big pond of bigger reasons.

With that said however, he just has to remind us of how animated he can get on the touchline in our recent game against Inter Milan. He did say before the game that his blood was pumping to take on Inter but no one would’ve imagined him doing what he did during the Inter game.

Midway through the second half, out of his sheer willingness to get the game restarted quickly, the Spaniard blatantly interfered with play by trying to pick up the ball while it was still in play right on the touchline. He rightfully got a yellow for it in what was an incident that would have left many of us amused by how guilty he looked while apologizing for his misconduct. Despite his best efforts of cajoling the Gunners to a second half comeback, we still got beat in what has become a pretty bad run of form.

We’ll have little time to feel sorry for ourselves, given we’ll still have the opportunity of redeeming ourselves at the weekend. On Sunday we’ll have an amazing opportunity of rekindling our form with a win in the mouth watering clash against Chelsea.
