An out-of-favour member of the defensive ranks at Serie A outfit AS Roma has made it known that his intention is to join RCD Mallorca before the summer is out.
That’s according to market expert Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Marash Kumbulla as the player in question.
Stopper Kumbulla for his part spent the 2024/25 campaign plying his trade in Spain’s top-flight.
Deemed surplus to requirements in the Italian capital, the Albanian international went on to link up with Espanyol on loan for the duration of the term.
And Kumbulla played a leading role for the Catalans, notching 35 league appearances to help maintain the club’s top-flight status.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media this week is anything to go by, then the 25-year-old looks set to spend the season ahead lining out for another of La Liga’s clubs.
As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Marash Kumbulla has made his decision: he wants to join Mallorca as next club. Despite several proposals from Spain and Italy, Mallorca are his clear favorite destination.’
