Aston Villa continue to keep hope alive of securing consecutive Champions League campaigns after a 3-0 win away at Brighton.
Unai Emery's outfit secured a valuable three points on the south coast that saw them leap over Fabian Hürzeler's Seagulls and pull within striking distance of Manchester City, Newcastle, and Chelsea in the process.
Once again, Marco Asensio showed his quality since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain during the January window, scoring the second on the night for the club after Marcus Rashford's 51st-minute opener.
With that goal, the former Mallorca academy graduate bagged his eighth goal in seven appearances across all competitions. The most of any player in the Premier League.
Along with the aforementioned Rashford, Asensio looks primed to net a full transfer to Villa Park come the summer should his form continue to prove critical to the club's chances.
