Aston Villa defender Parker signs new deal | OneFootball

Aston Villa defender Lucy Parker has signed a new contract with the club.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Villans earlier today.

The 26-year-old England international centre-back has signed on at Villa Park for at least two more years.

Parker joined Aston Villa in summer 2023 after opting to leave former club West Ham United. The player has gone on to make 28 appearances for The Villans in all competitions in which she has scored two goals.

The defender has been one of the most progressive players at Aston Villa over the last two seasons. Parker’s good performances have not gone unnoticed with England head coach Sarina Wiegman having selected the player as a back-up for her final UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 squad. While Parker did not make the official squad selection, she can be proud of what she has achieved in recent times.

Parker is the sixth Aston Villa player to sign a new contract with the club this summer. Sarah Mayling, Rachel Daly, Anna Patten, Lucy Staniforth and Kirsty Hanson have also agreed new deals with The Villans during the close season.
