Aston Villa fans comments after Newcastle United outclass Villa at St James’ Park – Amusing

Aston Villa fans hadn’t seen their team win at St James’ Park since back in 2005, the infamous Dyer and Bowyer red cards match.

It will be now at least a 20 years gap before it happens again.

Indeed, the last time Aston Villa fans watched their team win at SJP when United finished the game with 11 players, was 1989.

No wonder they dread coming to Tyneside!

Eddie Howe once again schooling Unai Emery and Newcastle United hammering Aston Villa on the pitch.

Just a shame that the dominance in the game wasn’t matched by the scoreline, as it should have been at least a five or six goal winning margin.

This incompetent referee was too easily swayed by the wild complaints of Newcastle players (I thought referees were going to put a stop to such protests) and Geordie fans who smelt blood at any costs.

He decided too easily that Duran had intended to do damage to his opponent and VAR once again showed how worthless it is, by not overturning his decision and instead supporting the decision made, without taking the time to fully check the available footage. MOTD determined Duran shouldn’t have been sent off, whether any appeal might be successful, is open to question, but it won’t give us anything from yesterday’s game. Howe and his fake Geordie sheiks won’t mind though.’

I thought it was deliberate but only a yellow, the ref thought it was deliberate but a red card – that doesn’t pass the bar of a clear and obvious error just a matter of degree

We may not agree but those are the rules.’

‘It’s weird, Newcastle have quite a few players that if they played for us we’d be saying they aren’t good enough: Targett, Willock, Burn, a past it Trippier, even someone like Joelinton who just seems to run around barging people. Of course they’ve got some cracking individual players too, but they are so much greater than the sum of their parts, probably more so than any other team in the league.
