Mohamed Salah is now eligible to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with any club, as his Liverpool deal is set to expire in June. As the new year begins, reports have emerged linking the 32-year-old forward with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
L’Équipe reported that PSG initiated talks with Salah’s camp, with the Egyptian forward reportedly warming to the idea of joining the French club. This has sparked fresh speculation about a potential switch to Paris.
However, PSG was quick to dismiss the rumors. A club spokesperson told L’Équipe, “It’s not true.” The report also suggests that the rumors might be a strategic move by Salah to gain leverage in his ongoing contract talks with Liverpool.
Football Insider added that Salah is pushing for a significant contract extension, aiming to secure a deal that would extend his stay at Anfield until 2027, adding three more years to his current contract.

L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi reports that PSG are determined to do everything possible to sign Salah next summer. The Egyptian forward is their top offensive target, alongside Jhon Durán. However, the competition for his signature will be intense, with Liverpool and Al-Hilal also in the mix.
A recent report from L’Équipe reveals that Durán won’t be joining PSG this winter. Instead, discussions about the player are focused on the summer transfer window, indicating the club’s plan to bolster its attack later in the year.
