Aston Villa want to bring PSG’s Marco Asensio back on loan | OneFootball

Marco Asensio (29) has returned to Paris Saint-Germain following his loan spell at Aston Villa, however, he could yet return to the Premier League side, L’Équipe understands.

Asensio found himself on the periphery at PSG, restricted to limited minutes off the bench. He joined Aston Villa on loan in January and enjoyed a return to form, netting eight goals in 21 games in all competitions. However, his loan move is yet to be made permanent. There is, nonetheless, interest from Aston Villa in doing so. Unai Emery is notably keen to keep his compatriot at Villa Park for next season. Should the deal happen, it would be another loan, according to a report from L’Équipe.

There has also been interest from Turkey. Fenerbahçe are keen to recruit the player, who has not yet reached a financial agreement with the Turkish club. Asensio is not willing to make considerable financial sacrifices to make that deal happen.
