Aston Villa want to keep Chelsea’s Axel Disasi | OneFootball

Aston Villa are keen to keep Chelsea loanee Axel Disasi (27), according to a report from Foot Mercato. However, the Frenchman is also garnering interest from other Premier League clubs.

Disasi, struggling for gametime at Chelsea, has quickly established himself at Aston Villa. Whilst the Frenchman’s performances over the course of the second half of the season have been mixed, his performance against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League being a notable low-point, the Birmingham-based club are clear in their intentions to retain the former AS Monaco defender.

Unai Emery has been won over by Disasi’s mindset and commitment. Discussions to make the loan from Chelsea permanent have begun. Those discussions are taking place between the player’s camp and Aston Villa. Discussions with Chelsea will then follow, however, Foot Mercato understands that other Premier League sides are in the race to sign the France international, whose deal with the Blues runs until 2029.
