Roma have intensified their contacts with Atletico Madrid regarding the purchase of Nahuel Molina.

The 1998-born Argentine winger has become the Giallorossi’s top target to strengthen their flanks, given the stalemate in negotiations for Feyenoord’s Givairo Read.

Earlier reports suggested that Roma sent an offer of around 16 million euros for Molina.

Now, Spanish newspaper Marca reports that the current offer from the Giallorossi doesn’t meet Atlético Madrid’s demands or the player’s salary expectations.

Despite their openness to the transfer, the Spanish club considers the full-back a valuable asset and doesn’t intend to sell him for a fee they consider too low, especially given their financial management.
