Bad injury news on Hermansen but better for Leicester pair

Immagine dell'articolo:Bad injury news on Hermansen but better for Leicester pair

Unfortunately, Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy offered a negative update on the progress of No.1 Foxes goalkeeper Mads Hermansen. The Dane has been out for a short while at this point; his absence has been tremendously felt in the team. Danny Ward was no suitable replacement; an already bad side consequently suffered further. Jakub Stolarczyk has done OK but he's been rather thrust into the dazzling spotlight that follows the King Power outfit.

However, better injury news has emerged on another potentially important Foxes pair. In fact, the projection is actually more optimistic for one Fox. While comments were slightly less positive for the other City star. Jannik Vestergaard has been assessed and has made steps. Meanwhile Kasey McAteer has happily returned to full training. So let's hear what the man in charge had to say at his Thursday press conference.

Leicester City trio's injuries assessed

Mads Hermansen

LCFC do have depth in their squad, it's just that quality is lacking somewhat. So the fact that Hermansen remains out for a continuing spell is concerning for fans and, surely, Foxes staff.

While I think Stolarczyk could well develop into a very good stopper, we really need our first-choice goalie at present. Information on the Danish Under-21 international is below:

"On Mads, there’s no update. He’ll be out for a bit longer. That won’t change over the coming weeks."Ruud van Nistelrooy

Jannik Vestergaard and Kasey McAteer

The heart of the east Midlands side's defence is where the most problems exits, if you ask me. So I'm not really sure having Vestergaard present or not makes a massive difference. Naturally, I say that with all due respect. Regardless of my feelings, he's a doubt at present.

"Jannik has been assessed and he’s made his steps. We’re looking to get him on the pitch today or tomorrow, but it’s doubtful for QPR... McAteer is back in full team training and if he can continue that, he will be available for the game."RvN
