The Football Association have confirmed the various details ahead of the draw for the FA Cup fifth round, with fourth round ties taking place over the course of the weekend.
For Manchester City, that means a trip south to face League One high-flyers Leyton Orient as Pep Guardiola’s Premier League champions visit the Gaughan Group Stadium on Saturday lunchtime in their second successive meeting with a Football League side in the competition.
In round three, it was a comfortable home win for Manchester City as they faced off against nearby Salford City at the Etihad Stadium, issuing an 8-0 rout over the League Two club with a starring hat-trick performance from James McAtee.
The England youth international, who was heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad during the recent January transfer window amid interest from Germany, will be hoping for another opportunity to impress this weekend.
There could also be first-team senior debuts for a couple of new signings too, with Vitor Reis yet to feature after his £29.6 million move from Palmeiras, and Nico Gonzalez fresh off the back of a deadline day switch from FC Porto in a €60 million agreement.
The FA Cup represents what could be Manchester City’s best chance at silverware this season, with many already ruling the club out of a Premier League title race and a two-legged UEFA Champions League last-16 play-off tie awaiting against Real Madrid this month.
Ahead of the final run of fixtures in the fourth round of the FA Cup, here is everything you need to know ahead of the fifth round draw in this season’s competition!

Matches in the FA Cup fifth round will take place across the weekend of Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March 2025.
For Manchester City, that would mean that any fifth round tie in this season’s FA Cup would follow an away trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Wednesday 26 February and precede a clash with Nottingham Forest away from home on Saturday 8 March.
Should Manchester City defeat Real Madrid in a UEFA Champions League last-16 play-off tie this month, then a round of 16 first-leg clash would follow an FA Cup fifth round tie on Tuesday 4th or Wednesday 5th March.
