Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has responded to the rumors linking his Norwegian striker Erling Haaland with FC Barcelona.He stated that Haaland is enjoying a great spell at the club and, for now, will be staying put.

Speaking at a recent press conference, Guardiola said: “Is there a club that doesn’t dream of Haaland? Barça dreams of him, just like every club in the world. And if Haaland wasn’t with us, we’d dream of having him too.”He added: “I don’t know what the future holds, but Haaland has a long-term contract with us. He’s delivering outstanding performances and scoring plenty of goals. The team supports him and creates many chances for him.”Guardiola concluded: “Haaland isn’t the type to sign a contract without wanting to commit, but football is always full of surprises.”These comments come as several Spanish outlets report that Joan Laporta considers Haaland one of Barça’s top priorities for the upcoming summer transfer window, despite his contract with Man City running until June 2034.
