Barcelona €80m signing gets the ‘Here we Go’ | OneFootball

La Liga champions Barcelona have secured a deal to sign Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon this summer.

This comes after the Blaugrana saw a big-money offer for the Englishman accepted by those in the boardroom at St. James’ Park on Wednesday evening.

Winger Gordon has of course dominated the headlines across all of Europe over the last 24 hours.

After word was forthcoming that the aforementioned Barca had set sights on the signature of the 25-year-old, it was swiftly confirmed that Deco and co. had entered into official talks with their Newcastle counterparts.

An agreement on the personal terms of a contract was in turn found with Gordon and his entourage.

And as alluded to above, late on Wednesday, an accord has also been sealed on a club-to-club basis.

As per a report from market expert Fabrizio Romano, marking an explosive opening to the summer on the part of the Spotify Camp Nou hierarchy:

‘Anthony Gordon to Barcelona, here we go! Official bid accepted now by Newcastle board and Saudi owners. €70m fixed fee plus add-ons to bring final package over €80m.’
