In addition to strengthening their squad for the next season by adding new players for some areas, another task that FC Barcelona are working on this summer is the departure of some players who are not going to play an important role in Hansi Flick’s plans for the next season.
These departures are also needed for the Blaugranes to raise the required wage margin to register their new signings, i.e., the goalkeeper Joan Garcia, and potential new signings, i.e., the winger Nico Williams.

In this regard, Fichajes reports that the Catalans have a clear goal in mind that they want to achieve with these departures, i.e., raising a sum of €140 million. For this purpose, they are looking to sell three players: Fermin Lopez, Ronald Araujo, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
Among these three players, the midfielder Lopez is the most valuable, as his meteoric rise in the last two seasons has significantly increased his demand in the market. Several European clubs are interested in him, but Barcelona would consider a sale of him only if offers close to €80 million arrive.
The Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo was considered to be a long-term centre-back for the Blaugrana team some time ago. However, his performances last season were quite inconsistent, as he came from a serious hamstring injury.
As a result, the Catalans would be willing to let him leave for an offer of around €40 million, even though his release clause is currently reduced to €60 million.
Lastly, the goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen is also facing a highly uncertain future at Barcelona, as Joan Garcia is going to be the starter and Wojciech Szczesny is going to be the backup goalkeeper next season.
Thus, his role would be quite redundant next season, and the Catalans are expecting to generate around €20 million from his sale.
For now, it remains to be seen which of these players will leave and how much money they will leave in Barcelona coffers.
