Barcelona boss Flick agrees with Gavi’s Lamine Yamal claim | OneFootball

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick is in agreement with Gavi when it comes to the talents possessed by Blaugrana sensation Lamine Yamal.

For those who may have missed it, Gavi turned heads courtesy of his comments during the week.

After Lamine Yamal dazzled once more en route to Barcelona sending Real Betis packing from the Copa del Rey, his midfield teammate was asked if he considers the 17-year-old to be the best player in the world.

And Gavi went on to respond:

“Yes, he is… Well, after Lionel Messi, he is the best.”

And one individual of the opinion that Gavi was not at all off the mark with his claims is Barcelona headmaster Hansi Flick.

Drawn on his midfield star’s recent comments regarding Lamine, Flick explained:

“You know, Gavi’s very emotional, so I say yes as well! You can see it. I think in big matches you see great talent and he’s shown it many times. Lamine is in a really good way. But we have to take care of him.”
