FC Barcelona continue to deal with various injury concerns that are not exactly helpful. For quite a few days now, one case in particular that continues to look worrisome is that of 21-year-old Spanish midfielder Gavi.

The Spaniard, who previously had to be sidelined for a long while in order to recover from an ACL injury, is now once again dealing with complications related to his knee. While it is not the same injury causing issues this time, there has been a lot of curiosity about his recovery moving forward.

Now, however, there appears to be an answer in place for that question. According to Mundo Deportivo, the player is set to undergo an arthroscopic review of the internal meniscus tomorrow, and this surgery is something that has been deemed necessary for him.

This procedure, one that has officially been confirmed by Barcelona as well, will hopefully allow Gavi to return properly and avoid future complications. However, it will likely keep him sidelined for a little while.

As per the report, these procedures typically require a recovery period of around five weeks for the player. However, thanks to the upcoming international break, the Spaniard might not miss as much action with Barça as he otherwise would have. The downside, however, is that it will be difficult for him to regain fitness in time for El Clásico on October 26.
