Following a failed move to Catalonia in January, the Marcus Rashford saga has once again resurfaced at Barcelona lately.
Currently plying his trade at Aston Villa on a loan deal, Rashford has only been able to show glimpses of his talent under Unai Emery and is unlikely to continue at Villa Park.
Aware of his precarious position, Rashford is once again gunning for a move to Catalonia and has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has offered an update on Barcelona’s pursuit of Rashford.
The Italian claims that Barça consider Rashford to be a potential target for the club in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The club believe that the Englishman will be available in the market and it could, therefore, emerge as a lucrative market opportunity for the Blaugrana.

From a sporting perspective, Rashford is rated highly at Barcelona due to the versatility he offers on the table.
The Man United star can indeed operate in the number nine position, thereby acting as an alternative to Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres.
He can also play out wide and could provide cover for the likes of Raphinha and Lamine Yamal next season.
This is coupled with the fact that the forward has vast experience at the highest level of football, essentially making him an upgrade over Ansu Fati, whose time at Barça appears to have run out.
Hansi Flick, for his part, is reportedly fond of the English international and would be open to having him at his disposal.
Therefore, it won’t be surprising to see Barcelona once again approach Manchester United for a deal to sign Rashford this summer. Whether or not the club can dodge the Financial Fair Play roadblocks remains to be seen.
