La Liga champions Barcelona have this week been dealt a fresh blow on the financial front.
This comes amid the revelation that, as things stand, the Blaugrana are highly unlikely to close the transfer window in line with the much-discussed 1:1 financial rule.
The latest info on developments behind the scenes at the Camp Nou comes courtesy of RAC1.
And it confirms that as of this moment:
‘Barça does not have Crowe’s approval to proceed with the VIP seats operation, and therefore, La Liga cannot yet accept it.’
This was a key financial lever for Joan Laporta and co. in their ongoing bid to operate normally on the transfer market.
Owing to its failure to come to fruition for the time being:
‘The club already assumes they will close the market outside the 1-1 Fair Play rule.’
This affects a number of aspects of Barcelona’s plans moving forward, not least the registrations of the likes of the likes of Gerard Martín and Wojciech Szczęsny with La Liga.
