Barcelona defender Ronaldo Araujo is the latest defender to be linked with a move to Juventus in the January transfer window, as Cristiano Giuntoli looks to provide Thiago Motta with new reinforcements at the back.
It is no secret that Juventus are on the lookout for new defenders in the January transfer window. The Bianconeri are seeking cover following the long-term injuries to Bremer and Juan Cabal, while Danilo could also be let go this month ahead of his contract expiry in the summer.
For several months already, it has been reported that Juventus are looking to add ‘at least’ one defender to their ranks this month, if not more.
Feyenoord’s David Hancko remains a firm favourite, but there is still work to be done if Juve are to match his €30m valuation.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Araujo is a player who is also of interest to the Bianconeri in the transfer market.
The Uruguay international has only featured once this season, playing the full 90 minutes of a 1-0 Copa Del Rey victory over UD Barbastro at the beginning of January, following a serious hamstring injury which has kept him out of the first half of the 2024-25 season.
Given his lack of playing time so far this season, Juventus are hoping that Barcelona could be tempted into letting the 25-year-old leave on loan in order to gain more consistent minutes on the pitch.
Elsewhere, Kevin Danso, who had previously been close to joining Roma, has also been suggested as a potential option for Juventus by La Gazzetta dello Sport.
