Barcelona are slowly but surely recovering some of the players from injury, but in the case of Andreas Christensen, there is no clear end in sight. The Danish centre-back was ruled out with tendonitis in his Achilles in August, and has not been seen in training since.
Despite reports that he could be back after two to three months, and that his recovery is progressing well, Christensen is still yet to train with the other players yet. Sport say that he will not be back before the end of the month. He is working out on the grass again, and could return in December.
The Blaugrana have been relying almost exclusively on Pau Cubarsi and Inigo Martinez this season in central defence, with Ronald Araujo expected back in the coming weeks, and Eric Garcia also having suffered from injury issues. The question will be how quickly Hansi Flick can get them up to speed with Barcelona’s highly coordinated offside trap.
