Barcelona could potentially become a key destination for Dusan Vlahovic next summer in what could be a surprising twist in the transfer market, reports Mundo Deportivo.

The Serbian striker, who initially thrived at Juventus after a highly successful stint with Fiorentina, is now struggling for prominence under manager Thiago Motta.

Reports suggest that Juventus are prepared to put him up for sale during the next transfer window, with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain emerging as potential suitors.

After a solid start to his life with Juventus, his subsequent seasons in Turin have been less impressive, with goal tallies of 14 in 2022-23, 18 in 2023-24, and just 12 in 2024-25.

Despite these numbers, his youth and ability still make him an attractive prospect in European football.

Barcelona could be his next destination

Reports from Italy have identified both Barcelona and PSG as possible destinations for Vlahovic, although each presents its own challenges.

PSG may not be the ideal fit since their coach, Luis Enrique, prefers an attack without a traditional centre-forward, a factor that previously hindered Randall Kolo Muani’s success in Paris.

Barcelona, on the other hand, see Vlahovic as a potential long-term successor to their veteran striker Robert Lewandowski, who is now 36 years old.

With Lewandowski under contract until 2026, the Catalan club might consider bringing Vlahovic in sooner rather than later to facilitate a smooth transition.

Deco interested in move

Deco, Barça’s sporting director, reportedly has an interest in advancing this move as early as 2025, although the club’s financial constraints could complicate matters.

Juventus are said to be willing to accept around €20 million for Vlahovic, a significant drop from their initial investment. This figure would help the Turin club avoid financial losses on the player’s transfer.

Arsenal have also shown interest in the striker, but their manager, Mikel Arteta, prefers versatile forwards capable of playing across multiple positions.

It remains to be seen where Vlahovic will land, but his future is undoubtedly one to watch in the coming transfer windows.
