The board at La Liga giants Barcelona have set their sights on the signature of an up-and-coming member of the academy ranks at Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain.

The PSG starlet in question? David Boly.

Boly, for his part, is a 17-year-old defender, who chiefly lines out at right-back.

The Frenchman has long been considered a future star in the making behind the scenes in Paris, giving rise to a first-team bow under the watch of Luis Enrique earlier this season.

PSG, however, are becoming increasingly concerned regarding Boly’s long-term future at the club.

The full-back is due to see his current contract terms expire in the summer of 2027, and has to date rejected all renewal offers put before him by the Parc des Princes hierarchy.

And keeping a close eye on this situation are the aforementioned Barcelona…

Eyeing ‘revenge’ on their counterparts in France’s capital following Dro Fernández’s shock winter move to Ligue 1, the Blaugrana are eyeing a deal for Boly.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Barça have detected him as a potential player of the highest level and the fact of being able to deal a blow to PSG would have increased the chances of success.’

The Catalans could now seek out either a cut-price deal for Boly in the summer, or attempt to tie up an agreement to bring the youngster in for free in 12 months’ time.
