La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been afforded something of a sudden boost on the transfer front.
This comes amid confirmation that Premier League counterparts Liverpool are ready to discuss the potential sale of Luis Díaz.
It is of course common knowledge at this point that Díaz has been earmarked as the first-choice attacking target on the part of Deco and the Camp Nou brass this summer.
The 28-year-old, owing chiefly to his direct profile, is considered the ideal addition to Hansi Flick’s ranks in the final third.
To date, negotiations over the transfer have proven less than productive, owing to Liverpool’s stance that Díaz simply wasn’t for sale.
As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then this stance now appears to have been altered…
As per a report from Diario Sport, with a deal for Florian Wirtz sewn up, and sights on further big-money additions in the attacking third:
‘Liverpool are open to starting a negotiation with Barça to transfer the Colombian attacker.’
