Barcelona have a transfer message for Ferran Torres | OneFootball

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona are ready to send a clear message to attacking star Ferran Torres, regarding his future with the club.

This comes amid the understanding that the Blaugrana have no current plans to sanction the 26-year-old’s sale.

Frontman Ferran has of course seen his future in Catalunya’s capital come under the spotlight in the European media over recent weeks. Ahead of the expiration of his contract in 12 months’ time, French champions Paris Saint-Germain are understood to have set their sights on the signature of the former Manchester City man.

Amid an ongoing pursuit of Atlético Madrid standout Julián Alvarez, the assumption, in turn, was that Barcelona would open the door to a sale at the right price.

As alluded to above, however, if the latest word stemming from Spain is anything to go by, then this, in fact, may not be the case…

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Barcelona believe that if Ferran is considering leaving this summer, it is up to him to speak to the club. Barça still consider him an important asset and want to renew his contract.’
