Barcelona hold meeting with midfielder, his family & agents | OneFootball

The brass at La Liga giants Barcelona this week sat down for a meeting with a leading member of the club’s midfield ranks.

The player in question? Gavi.

Youngster Gavi is for his part of course sidelined at present.

As much comes after the Spanish international suffered a knee problem during training late last month.

With the issue having come in the same knee in which Gavi previously tore his ACL, the Barcelona medical staff have taken extra caution with his treatment and planned return.

And it was precisely as much which took centre stage during a sit-down between club and player late this week.

That’s according to Blaugrana insider Gerard Romero, who has revealed that:

‘This morning early on, the player, family and his agents gathered with the club to check on the evolution of the midfielder.

‘Gavi will continue with conservative treatment, and in a week the situation of the knee will be reassessed, to see if intervention is needed.’
