As reported already, Gavi and his entourage met with Barcelona officials earlier today in order to assess his knee injury and discuss the next steps in his recovery.
For now, it has been agreed that the midfielder will continue with the conservative treatment for another week, before his condition is reassessed and further decisions are made.
Building on that, Mundo Deportivo reports that the plan is for Gavi to be at 100% after the October international break.
If the pain in his right knee decreases, the natural path will be to finish the conservative treatment that is already underway. And if it works, he should be fit by the aforementioned timeline, perhaps even sooner.

But if discomfort remains, the surgical option will gain weight. Earlier reports suggested that Gavi could face a period of six to eight weeks out in case of surgery.
However, as per the aforementioned outlet, an operation could keep him sidelined for around four additional weeks.
It could potentially rule the player out of the first El Clasico of the season against Real Madrid in late October.
Either way, another meeting is already scheduled for next week – essentially another checkpoint in his recovery process, following which a decision on what is next for the key midfielder will be made.
