Over the last few years, FC Barcelona have seen some of their most beloved legends leave the Blaugrana club, and currently, a whole new core of players has taken over from the generation that won the last treble in 2014-15.

From that legendary team, several players have gone on to join the American side Inter Miami, where the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets are all currently playing.

Meanwhile, another player from that famed team, Neymar, also ended up joining his former club, Santos, this winter. However, despite the recency of his move, there are a lot of doubts about his future as he has currently signed a contract only for three months.

Before his move to Santos, Inter Miami attempted to sign Neymar in hopes of reuniting him with his former Barcelona teammates, Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez, to recreate the legendary MSN trio. However, this dream fell apart as the Brazilian star opted to return to his childhood club instead.

Now, according to Diario AS, it is Barcelona themselves who are dreaming of reuniting the two superstars, Lionel Messi and Neymar, together in their team, even though the likelihood of this possibility becoming a reality remains quite low.

As things stand, the Florida side is quite confident of securing Messi’s stay for another year, and the Argentine himself is keen to continue at his current club. However, things can move quickly in football, and his return to the club of his life cannot be ruled out.

Meanwhile, Neymar is also looking to rejoin the Blaugrana club, and this operation will also be a highly complicated one as the coaching staff at the Catalan side does not really want him in their team.

Thus, several important factors will have to align before the two superstars can play in the same team once more. Most Barcelona fans will be hoping this will become a reality sooner than later, as these two legends cannot continue playing at the highest level for a long time.
