Barcelona icon confirms ‘I am trying to become a manager’ | OneFootball

A former member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has confirmed his plans to step into a role on the touchline at some point down the line.

The individual in question? Andrés Iniesta.

Spanish icon Iniesta of course took his place centre stage at the Ballon d’Or gala on Monday evening.

This came after the 41-year-old was afforded the honour of handing out the women’s Ballon d’Or, to Barca Femení standout Aitana Bonmatí.

Iniesta for his part never managed to lift the Golden Ball, but the Spaniard, for an extended period of time, was widely considered to be one of the very best players in world football.

And as alluded to above, it may not be long before adoring fans are afforded the chance to see Iniesta back involved at the top level of the game once more.

Speaking at The Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris last night, the Blaugrana legend confirmed:

”I am trying to become a manager.”
