Barcelona ended 2024 in the worst manner possible, with a defeat to Atletico Madrid extending their woes.
Barça have won only one in their last seven league matches. They are also going through their worst run in La Liga in 16 years.
A key reason why Barcelona have faltered lately has been their lack of dominance at home. The club have failed to win at Estadi Olimpic since the end of November, when they secured a victory against Brest.
In La Liga, the Blaugrana last won at Montjuic on November 3 – a victory over Espanyol in the Barcelona derby.
In the midst of such a poor record at home, Barcelona would perhaps rejoice over the fact that the team doesn’t have to play at home until January 25-26, when they take on Valencia.

Indeed, Barcelona start the new year with an away game against Barbastro in the Copa Del Rey, which will followed by away encounters against the likes of Getafe and Benfica.
In between, Barcelona are also scheduled to travel to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup.
In fact, the only way the Catalans can secure a home fixture before the weekend of January 25/26 is if they can secure a win against Barbastro and a place in the Round of 16 of Copa Del Rey.
Securing a ticket to the next round could see the Blaugrana play at home on January 15, in the Round of 16 of Copa Del Rey.
However, as far as the league is concerned, Barça will not play at home until the Valencia game at the end of the month.
It must be noted that Barcelona are slated to return to the revamped Camp Nou sometime next year, although there have been some unforeseen delays.
