Tonight, when the clock strikes midnight, the transfer window will officially close until January. FC Barcelona are not expected to make any signings on deadline day, but there are a couple of exits that could take place.
Fermin Lopez’s future has dominated the headlines for the better part of last week and still remains unresolved.
Meanwhile, Hector Fort is another player whose departure was expected to be finalised by this time, but there has not been much movement.
As such, Mundo Deportivo now reports that it cannot be ruled out that Hector Fort stays put at Barcelona until January.
The La Masia right-back, who is not part of Hansi Flick’s plans this season, was expected to seal his departure today.

This past weekend, after being omitted from the first-team squad once more, the teenage defender did not feature for Barça Atletic in their friendly against L’Hospitalet, unlike the previous week against Atletic Lleida.
Fort’s loan move to Mallorca was the most advanced option, but it depended on Pablo Maffeo’s transfer to Atletico Mineiro, which remains uncertain, leading to doubts about the operation going through.
Interest from AC Milan, who need a replacement for Alex Jimenez (who joined Bournemouth), could resurface on deadline day, but nothing is guaranteed.
As such, there is a possibility that Fort ends up staying at Barcelona until the winter transfer window, when his situation can be reassessed.
Only time will tell how things progress as far as Fort and his loan move to Mallorca progress on the deadline day.
