According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona defender Hector Fort has attracted serious interest from newly crowned Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven, casting further doubt over his future at the Catalan club.
The Dutch giants are reportedly monitoring the 18-year-old closely and have already begun gathering information about a potential move.
Fort, who is under contract with Barcelona until 2026, finds himself in a complicated situation at the club. Since Hansi Flick’s appointment, opportunities for the young right-back have become increasingly limited.
Jules Kounde has cemented his place as the first-choice right-back, and when the Frenchman was sidelined due to injury late in the season, Flick opted to deploy Eric Garcia in that role, showcasing a preference for experience and versatility over raw potential.
This lack of game time has naturally raised questions over Fort’s long-term prospects at the club. While Barcelona have not made any definitive decisions yet, a summer discussion between Flick and sporting director Deco is on the cards once La Liga concludes.

That meeting will likely determine whether Fort remains in the first-team picture or seeks development elsewhere, possibly on loan.
From PSV’s perspective, Fort fits a clear need. Despite winning the Eredivisie, the Dutch side lacks sufficient cover at right-back.
Sources close to the situation indicate that PSV had already explored a loan deal for Fort months ago, and now, with their domestic campaign concluded, they may step up their efforts to secure him either on loan or permanently.
The Dutch club’s attacking style and reliance on full-backs who can contribute going forward would also be well suited to Fort’s technical profile.
Barcelona, however, are in no rush to part ways with a La Masia graduate who still holds significant promise.
Fort’s contract includes a long-term vision for development, but the logjam at right-back and the demands of La Liga’s financial fair play rules may compel the club to be flexible.
