Two important members of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona on Friday played no part in group training.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Raphinha and Marc Casadó as the pair in question.

Barcelona, of course, are set to mark their return to action on Saturday night, when they make the trip to El Sadar for a La Liga meeting with Osasuna.

The Blaugrana will head into proceedings in the knowledge that an 8th victory on the spin will see them, at least temporarily, open up a seven-point advantage atop the Spanish top-flight table.

As alluded to above, though, amid their final preparations for the trip to Pamplona, Hansi Flick and his coaching staff were forced to make do without a pair of key players.

As per the aforementioned Sport:

‘Hansi Flick was not able to count on Marc Casadó or Raphinha for training [on Friday]. Both stayed in the gym as a precaution.’

Despite their respective absences this morning, though, both midfielder Casadó and wide-man Raphinha are expected to be afforded call-ups for Saturday’s Osasuna test.
