FC Barcelona will now welcome Getafe to the Estadi Johan Cruyff for their next La Liga fixture. After beating Newcastle United away from home with a great performance, Hansi Flick’s side now returns to domestic action as they focus on getting some crucial points.
However, with players like Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde still in recovery, Flick will need to be careful with his selection. Fortunately, there is a lot of quality and experience in the squad to make things work out.
Here is how Barcelona could line up for the game against Getafe.
Goalkeeper: Joan Garcia
Yet another top display from the Spanish goalkeeper in the last game saw him save many great chances for Newcastle United. With him guarding the Barça goal, the entire team’s confidence seems to shoot up as well.
Right-back: Jules Kounde
A strong display against Newcastle United saw the French defender restrict and contain the opposition quite well. This resurgence of form is exactly what was needed from him, and he is now delivering consistently.
Centre-back: Andreas Christensen
The Danish defender remains a great option for Hansi Flick to deploy if needed, and Andreas Christensen has always proven himself to be reliable whenever called upon.
Centre-back: Eric Garcia
With Pau Cubarsi having taken a knock in the last game, it might be wise to take things easy with him for now. While he is likely to be available, Eric Garcia might be a good option to replace him in the starting eleven.
Left-back: Gerard Martin
Despite being the backup option to Alejandro Balde, Gerard Martin is holding his own quite well. He is expected to start this game as well.
CDM: Marc Casado
This game could be a good opportunity to give Marc Casado a chance to start as well. While Frenkie de Jong’s consistency and quality remain undeniable, it would be good for the Spanish midfielder to start every now and then as well.

CDM: Pedri
Following his masterful display against Newcastle United, it is clear to see just how integral the Spaniard is to this team. It would be surprising to see him not be in the starting eleven for this game.
Restricted a bit against Newcastle United, but Raphinha’s quality remains undeniable. He can be a big problem for the opposition on his day, and Hansi Flick will likely count on him again.
This position might be a toss-up between Dani Olmo and Fermin Lopez. The latter did struggle a bit in the previous game, so it might be a good opportunity to test Olmo out a bit more this time around.
The man of the moment, Marcus Rashford’s confidence must be shooting through the roof right now. Having scored two amazing goals in his last appearance against Newcastle United, the English winger will be gunning for more.
Following a rather tame performance against Newcastle United, this might be another opportunity for Robert Lewandowski to show his class.
